Eric choose to let his brothers organs be harvested, after a swimming accident his brother had. His brother was in intensive care unit for a period of time, and during that time, Eric, his mother, and his father all had to decide whether or not to pull the plugs on his brother who was only staying alive by machines. Eric is the one who decided it was best for them to let the hospital call the organ team to harvest his brothers organs, and let him go peacefully. Eric was unable to meet a few of the people, because they choose not to allow for him to meet them. One of the people he meets and talks about was a man who got the bones of his brothers in ears. He always would joke around with the man who received the bones for his ear. There was another man who received the liver of his brother, and he talks about how the man who got it became a heavy alcoholic, and talks about how his brother never drank. He would always tell the man who got the liver that he has a piece of him (Eric), and that he needs to take care of it. Personally I would agree with him, because I wouldn't want my family’s organs to go to someone who really doesn't appreciate them anyway.
