Ryan and I were anticipating the trip we had planned for weeks. We were finally leaving our hometown Frogville,OK for a road trip to Picher,OK. The town Picher was supposed to be a ghost town at night. So Ryan and I planned a trip to see if the rumors of Picher were true. Planning the trip took almost a month, but the hard part was getting our parents’ permission. The day we set to leave was rapidly approaching Ryan couldn’t wait, however, I was having second thoughts. Ryan talked me into going through with trip the night before we left. As we packed the car with our things both of our dads made sure the car was ready for the trip. We are about to see if Picher was really the ghost town it was said to be. As we left our hometown Frogville we headed north on highway 70 to start the trip. It felt like Ryan and I were the only people driving on the highway. We then headed north on highway 147 were we had our first setback. Highway 147 was backed up with traffic that wasn’t moving. Ryan was looking at the map to see if there was another way around all the traffic. We were stuck and the traffic didn’t look like it was going to clear up anytime soon. While in traffic Ryan and I talked about the Hugo Lake that …show more content…
Right outside a small town named Salina,OK the car shook. We went swerving thru the two lanes on the highway. Ryan managed to get control of the car and we ended up on the side of the road. We got out to see what happened and one of the back tires blew out so we had to call a tow truck. The tow truck finally came and tow us to the shop in the town of Salina. The mechanic told us we wouldn’t get the car back till later on that afternoon. While Ryan and I waited for our car to be fixed we went and checked out Lake Hudson. It was so fascinating to me but Ryan wasn’t interested at all he just wanted to be on the road. We finally got the call from the mechanic telling us our car is ready to be picked
