Piaget's Four-Stage Approach Research Paper

Piaget’s theory of stage approach describes how infants, children and adolescents use different cognitive abilities to understand the world. In order to identify the fundamental changes that happened with in each stage, Piaget proposed four distinct stages of cognitive development. The first stage is known as the sensory motor stage, which begins at birth and last until the child reaches 2 years old. During this stage, children construct their sensorimotor schemes and based their physical action upon the world. The second stage is known as the preoperational stage, and last form age 2 till age 7. During this stage, children explore their new acquire mental abilities and their new communication skills with other children as well as other adults.
