When babies are born the weight a little more than 7 pounds ( Ashford & Lecroy, 2010, p.246). Raziel was born completely healthy, with no problems, weighing about eight pounds. Raziel had no problems during birth according to his mother. By my observations, Raziel has been developing well, for his age. His brain development and physical growth show that Raziel is heading on the right path, his mother said that she is blessed that he came out healthy because she was sometimes nervous that something might be wrong. With her other two pregnancies, she said that with Raziel it just felt different. Meaning, a baby loves his mother because she feeds and take care of him. An intimate relationship between the baby and caregiver is needed in order to ensure the baby 's survival. Parents and their child are biologically programmed to form a bond (Ashford & Lecroy, 2010, 266-267). Raziel and his parents are really close. Raziel is comfortable around anyone, he does not cry when someone besides his parents try to hold him. Raziel is one of the most pleasant babies I know. He does not cry, he is always smiling. When a stranger tries to hold him, he opens out his arm to them. My aunt gets a little worried at times, because of how welcoming Raziel is. She jokingly always says that someone could just steal him, and he wouldn 't even notice because he is always so welcoming to strangers.
