Physiotherapist Personal Statement

My fascination for science, above all, learning how the body is composed, functions and repairs itself, moreover with the knowledge I gain I can improve the well being of people of all ages and health backgrounds, persuades me to develop marketable skills as to achieve a physiotherapy career.
By being a patient myself, I understood that physiotherapists require information gathering and assessing skills along with being amiable yet discreet in order for patients to comfortably share personal information. When attending an observation day, I learned that they work in a variety of departments such as outpatient, stroke and paediatric and apply numerous medical practices including acupuncture, hydrotherapy and electrotherapy.
Through personal research I enjoy activities that benefit my health such as drawing, video gaming, reading and particularly swimming as it works on every muscle without causing strains.
I gained relevant experience by taking care of children. By praising, explaining and making tasks enjoyable, they willingly completed tasks. These aspects are important in promoting health in children.
Currently I work in a residential home where I receive frequent training of legislations and safety, as well as providing patient centred care. By assisting one patient with a mobility restriction on his legs and another
