Whether it's obvious or unnoticeable, almost everything in the world involves mathematics in some way, shape, or form. Actions, objects, and even mindsets are all connected to math. All sports include hidden mathematical and/or scientific principles and laws that explain the actions that occur while playing. Soccer is one of the many sports that consists of mathematical and scientific laws that prove actions and measurements used in the game. The goalie can not move off of their line until the ball is kicked. Therefore, the time they have to react to the shot is very minimal. To figure this out, one must first figure out how long it would take for a goalie to reach the top corner of either side of the goal.
