Essay On Trampolines

Improved Essays
Trampolines are very fun toys, is an activity loved by people of all ages. A trampoline is an object consisting of a piece of taut, a strong fiber extended over a steel frame using many springs, the fabric used on the trampoline bed has certain elasticity, the elasticity is generated by the springs connected to the frame, which store potential energy (the stored energy of position of an object). The first trampoline to be invented, was invented by a trapeze artist called Du Trampolin, he developed this idea to have a safety net and a landing device.
But, have you ever wondered what is the physics of jumping on a trampoline? The main relation with physics is the fact that forces are seen in the action of jumping up and down from it. A force is a push or a pull on a certain object resulting from the object’s interaction with another object, when the interaction stops the two objects no longer have the force acting upon them, with the following formula. ( The Physics Classroom, 1996-2015 ).

By this action 3 forces are acting upon the object.
• Spring force: Is the force that the mat produces to the person, when the person is jumping. The mat acts as a spring force due to the springs that are attached to the mat; this is because the force is acting upwards. The springs push the person up until the natural acceleration of the gravity

This can be also related to newton’s third law, since there is an equal and opposite reaction when the person bounces down to the trampoline and the surface of the trampoline reacts by pushing the person upwards

The egg drop project we did involved many physics principles. One of them was air resistance, which happened because the egg dropped and it accelerated, while the velocity increased. Then the resistance of the air to the egg box motion also increased, which means the upward force of air resistance balances the downward force of gravity, so the egg box dropped at a constant speed. We attached balloons to the box we made in order for the box to pass through the air while softly landing. We believe that by attaching the balloons it would have less air resistance so the box will fall quickly.…

Such as when an accelerating object is moving in one direction, while being affected by a force in the opposite direction. At the top of the hill there are balanced forces because the forces in all directions are equal and therefore there is no motion. Force is a push or pull acting on an object. In this case one example of force in Candy Land is as you are going down the 100 foot drop there is a force pushing you down the hill.…
