The world is made up of matter and energy (Cool Cosmos, 2015). Matter is made up of atoms and molecules and these atoms and molecules are always in constant motion because of energy (Cool Cosmos, 2015). Gravity is a force pulling together all matter. When there is more matter, there is more gravity, so matter pulls more strongly (Space Environment, 2015). The equation for gravity is as follows:
F=(GM_1 〖GM〗_2)/r^2
Gravity travels at an acceleration of 9.81m/s^2. …show more content…
There are a number of factors on the amount of air resistance an object receives. The main reasons are the speed and the cross-sectional area of the moving object (The Physics Classroom, 2015). The faster an object travels the more air resistance. As the object moves faster, the object will have to push the air molecules out of the way, which in turn, creates drag. Also, if the object has a large cross-sectional area, the object will experience more drag for the reason that the air molecules must travel farther off the object (SEED, 2015).
Crumple zones are the areas of a vehicle that are designed to absorb impact during a collision in an intended way. The structural areas are typically in the front and rear of a vehicle. The factors to consider for designing a vehicle that can withstand shock is the size and weight of the vehicle, and also the stiffness of the frame and the stresses the vehicle is likely to be opened to during impact (Gabiranowski, 2015). When a vehicle comes
Energy is the ability to do work and it can be transferred and absorbed. Energy transfer is energy transferred from one object to another object in the form of heat, light, or motion (McMahon,
