Its basic elements are logic and intuition, analysis and construction, generality and individuality.” By Richard Courant. Mathematics is not just a mere subject which only consists of numbers but a universal language. Mathematics can be defined as “the study of relationships among quantities, magnitudes and properties, and the logical operations by which unknown quantities, magnitudes, and properties may be deduced” or "the study of quantity, structure, space and change" From a very young age, solving problems has been something I find exciting. Mathematics is particularly in challenging problems, which …show more content…
I discovered that both of these subjects relate to Mathematics in the form of symmetry. After all, it never ceases to amaze me how Mathematics seems to be everywhere at once, even in places you expect not to find it. Actuaries describe their work as challenging and interesting and generally enjoy a good working environment. Finally, I would like to restate that I would like to pursue a degree in Actuarial Science to employ as a future Actuary. To achieve my dream, I really want to continue graduate study in actuarial science.
