The role of the physician associate was first shown to be a success within the USA healthcare system before the importance of the role was recognised in the UK. They are able to provide help for the lack of available medics and ultimately to improve the healthcare system within the NHS.

Thus reinforcing my interests of healthcare and has making me well-aware of the reality of health care. I was able to assist the patients when they required medication or just advise on the medications that they are taking. Through this knowledge of the various types of medications given, it has increased my knowledge about the various types of disorders. I have also had the opportunity to carry out the different services which my pharmacy offers, this includes: carrying out glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure and chlamydia tests and processing the minor ailment scheme. This role has involved me working with vulnerable people such as young adults, the elderly, children and disability; thus I am able to communicate effectively and with flair with
