When people think of the word suicide, they often call it a selfish act or maybe even pointless; this is hard to say without knowing the situation in which a person may find themselves. It’s often hard to know the exact reason a person decided that suicide was the only way out; financial stressors may be a factor, depression, the inability to provide for their family or a non-curable disease or condition. I believe any person who is mentally capable should make their own life choices especially when it comes to their health , I also feel if they do not get help from a medical professional in the most painless and humane way to help them die that they will choose suicide which is so much more devastating to family member. There are many conditions people can overcome and there are treatment options. I feel physician assisted euthanasia by lethal injection should be allowed to those with life threatening and non-curable conditions. Many would still sit back and argue that this is not humane and nobody should have the option to take their own life, but people do this every day for different reasons. I believe asking for euthanasia by a physician is a respectful act for themselves and family members, by letting everyone have their chance to say goodbye and possibly be there when the day comes for the death of a person. Often people are not lucky enough to have a chance to tell someone how much they mean to them before it’s too late and they have to discover a loved one took their own life over something that could of easily been fixed with love and support from family and friends. People have their reasons for the choices they make in life and I feel when it comes to their own life and health they should be given the option of euthanasia if they feel this is their own option left that will give them freedom from pain and
