A brilliant man by the name of Ernest Hemingway, once said "Every man’s life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another." What comes to mind after reading this statement? Simple, we all end out on the same path eventually in life yet to be noted as the most remarkable person based upon their natural raw passion for life and how they live; is what makes individual. Someone to stand out amongst the many solely based upon their life's actions leading up to one moment is what allows for this opportunity. The same opportunity I stumbled across when I started my journey as an aspiring physician assistant, (PA) to only be noted later in life as, Lindsay Kidwell, PA.-C.
Though my journey to as an aspiring PA has been a little longer then anticipated; it was worth every minute of it. Moreover, it was through my melting pot of life's events and educational experiences that molded me into the person I am today. My innate ability is caring for people. I have seen my talent become enhanced based upon my experiences with patient care. I find this quality is constantly growing based solely upon my experiences as an aspiring Physician Assistant. No matter what the environment each professional shares the same compassion as the other. I witnessed it firsthand when I shadowed a PA in an Emergency care setting, versus the time I followed a PA in a rural family medical practice. Despite the difference in environments they all follow the same philosophical work ethic which is grounded on their sole compassion for the individual they are helping.
