Among the many different aspects there are to physical therapy, sports physical therapy is my main point of interest. There are many reasons I was drawn to this aspect of physical therapy. For instance, a relative of mine played professional sports, when he was playing everything was fine but once he got injured it was like they didn’t know him. I watched him go to physical therapy for years for his acl injury. Watching the physical therapist work with him and build his confidence and physical level back up was amazing! However, while I was searching for and watching the different videos of the different scopes of practice it opened my eyes to a vast amount rewards to being any type of physical therapist or physical therapist assistant.

PTA’s have a 41% growth rate from 2012 – 2022. The average wage for a PTA in 2012 was $26.12 an hour/ $54,330 dollars a year.
