The kinesiology profession of my choice is Physical Therapy. I have always been fascinated by the profession. Even more so, when I began volunteering at the Center for the Intrepid at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. The Center for the Intrepid is a facility with a prosthetic and fabrication lab, indoor pool used for recreation therapy, gait lab and rock climbing wall along with an array of health care professionals to provide top care to the military soldiers. This is where my interest in the field of physical therapy began. In this paper, I will express my interest in physical therapy along with the educational requirements such as the prerequisites, observation hours, and competitiveness for entry into the Doctorate of Physical Therapy
