As a future physical therapist it is my duty to engage in and encourage health practices that contribute to the survival of society. It will be my goal to serve my patients and I will do so by making it my priority to understand and research the movement system to enable myself to better treat and inform them. I will be able to more efficiently evaluate, serve, and provide innovative care to my patients with the continued advancements of the physical therapy profession. Continued education and experiences throughout my career will provide me with the tools and understanding I need to encourage my patients both physically and mentally to reach the goals they set before themselves. This will help me to provide a better physical therapy experience …show more content…
Having the best interest of my patients in mind, I will collaborate with other professions to seek the best treatment options available to them. A physical therapist I worked under once said "As a physical therapist, it is my goal to put myself out of business". This statement struck me as the true meaning of servitude to patients and a contributing member of society. I will aim to make my services available to all economic classes by offering my services through charitable organization and institutions which help those who are unable to reach the care they need. I will accomplish this by working with others to provide quality care and treatment options to all individuals regardless of economic status. I hope to improve society through my patients by being a positive influence during our time together. As a physical therapist I hope to become someone that my patients can count on and provide them with a stable environment that is concerned with their health and focused on their healing. While treating my patients I will not be driven by financial prospect, rather I will be focused and motivated on my patient's recovery, education, and improved quality of life.
