Family history:
Physical therapist should ask some questions related to family members to the patient. It is possible that other close family members will have it to i.e. brother, father, grandfather etc. but this doesn’t always follow. If anyone has history of psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and metabolic syndrome, there may be genetic involvement of the disease. It will help to plan treatment and decide prognosis of the patient.

Asymmetric arthritis: It is very common and milder type of psoriatic arthritis but it can become disabling. It can occur in any joint, but won’t affect the same joints both sides of the body. Joints are swollen, tender and warm to touch. People with psoriatic arthritis, finger and toes look like small sausages.
