Physical Therapy Assistant Contingency Plan

Decent Essays
My contingency plan is to get a job with my kinesiology degree to start off and then maybe pursue a position as a physical therapy assistant. If I don't get into graduate school, the first time I will reevaluate my plan to become a physical therapist and if I still want to do that I will work on whatever was wrong with me not getting for the first time. I will work on getting more observation and experience hours, also looking for internships in hospitals or fitness centers. Or maybe pursue a career in adapted physical education.

The impact of this shortage is likely to be more acute among Medicaid beneficiaries due to geographic misalignment between low-income communities and physician practice locations and low physician participation in Medicaid. In 1959 the US Surgeon General declared a physician shortage. After a difficult battle Eugene Stead, MD tasked himself with creating an official schooling for Physician’s Assistants and graduated the first class on October 6th, 1967.…
