Physical Therapy has been playing a role in most people 's life for as long as they can remember. From teaching children how to walk, to teaching the elderly too. Physical therapy has helped people in many ways, from injured people who need to relearn everything to helping children who have Down Syndrome learn everything. Physical therapy is a major part of a lot of people’s life and you may not even know it.
There are many types of therapy, Speech therapy, Physical therapy, Mental therapy, Occupational therapy, Massage therapy, Psychological therapy, and NHS therapy, which is for stress, depression and anxiety. I chose physical therapy and one of the biggest reasons that I want to go into Physical therapy is because I have a little brother, Ryker, who has Down Syndrome he was diagnosed with it when he was about 2 weeks old and a physical therapist comes to our house every other day and works with him. She teaches him all the basic things in life like sitting up, crawling, standing, and walking. After she has worked with him she always tells us about what he needs to work on and the progress he has made. Children with Down Syndrome tend to be 6 months behind children who do not, that 's why he needs a Physical therapist. She is always talking about how much fun she has working with him, not just him, but every other kid that she is helping. She is another reason I want to go into physical therapy.
