Physical Therapy: A Personal Statement Of Purpose

I knew when I graduated from physical therapy school that I wanted reach and learn the best treatments for my patients. After graduation I went to Germany to persuade orthopedic manual therapy (Kaltenborn-Evjenth method) and had the opportunity to take many others continue education courses. Also, worked in Munich in orthopedic settlements with international colleagues had increased my professional experiences.

During that time my interest in clinical research pushed me to seek academical environment, because I wanted to analyze theories that I learned. My career interest also began to change. I find myself into academic environment as a researcher and educator. I studied and searched during my master program effectiveness manual therapy in low back pain patients, and in my compared manual therapy and exercises into temporomandibular patients in the PhD. Life is series of experiences and a process of learning. Then I found myself living in the USA. Since moving to the USA, I have lived in different cities including Rochester, NY; Boston, MA; and Detroit, MI. From living in different countries and cities, I have experienced new environments,

As a self-motivated and curios about education and life experiences I have learned adaptable in any situation and challenges. Curiosity and responsibility to my patients always driven me towards new experiences from leaving my comfort zone to reach the best practice to improve the quality of life of my patients and clients. I believe learning never ends, and there is no end to education. Orthopaedic residency is an exciting, technologically evolving field that will provide me many opportunities to do my passion for research. Additionally, I am looking forward to persuade tDPT program to be ready for APTA’s new vision statement to demonstrate and promote high standards of professional and intellectual
