Every kid in the world that wants to experience being on a youth football team should have a chance to do that. They will have the time of their lives participating in the game of youth football. Parents should allows their kids to play youth football. Football brings people together and creates an unbreakable connection with your coaches and teammates. It improves kids overall mentally and physically. The safety of the game is becoming better and making the game less dangerous.
Football is a great way to develop social skills. Football introduces young players to new social groups to make new friends, which is a good thing for every kid. A set of coaches on the team will also serve as role models and someone that kids will trust. The game of football for kids is about friendships, fun, and camaraderie (Alic, 2018). Concussions are still a major problem that hasn’t been resolved in football. Between 1997 and 2007, the number of emergency department visits for concussions doubled between 8 and 13 year olds and tripled for older youth, according to the Southwest Athletic Trainers' Association (Khan 2014). While part of the reason is likely due to increased awareness of concussions, it still outlines a major problem in youth sports. Concussions cause memory problems, confusion, nausea and vomiting. Over time, repeated concussions have been linked to brain damage (Gregory 2017). Also, research shows that even one concussion can cause long-lasting issues. The brian of a youth football player is not fully developed. This means that any serious damage to the brain could cause the brain to not fully reach its potential.
