My Health Triangle Essay

1. Health triangle (physical, mental/emotional, social)
The health triangle attributes to my health and wellness via being involved with all of my aspects of health. Being knowledgeable about proper mental, physical, and social health allows me to keep all three in perfect balance. One way this affects my daily life is through the decisions that I make every day that may affect the balance of one side of the health triangle. Another way this unit affects my daily life is when the balance of my health triangle is upset, and I need to restore it. It also helps me know how my personal health affects others.

A. Interpersonal communication
Interpersonal communication applies to mental and wellness via maintain proper communication with others. It is paramount that I know how to interact with others because I cannot avoid talking to other people my entire life. For example, knowing the proper way to communicate with others can help me get my points across and tell others much needed information. It is a very important aspect of health because it fuels the body functions needed to maintain homestasis. As I am writing this, I am currently sipping on a latte, however, because of my knowledge of nutrition, I know the healthy limitations of my potential coffee consumption (which is why It got a skinny latte instead of a sugary one). One way this affects my everyday life is every time I choose something to eat, I am going to be informed whether or not I should consume something that does not benefit me health-wise. Another way this affects my everyday life is when I eat with those who have dietary limitations (celiac disease, allergies, diabetes, lactose intolerance, etc.) I know what I should eat and surround them with or offer them things I know for sure they are able to
