The four physical regions of New Mexico
1 the rocky mountains the rocky mountains consist of mostly of mountains  but it has 4 major rivers in it they are the Rio Grande the Rio Chama the Gallinas river and the Pecos River and 2 lakes and they are the eagle nest lake and the Abiqulu reservoir there are 2 major towns here and they are Los
Alamos(As of the 2010 United States Census, there were 17,950 people)
It is approximately 90 miles north of Albuquerque, 35 miles from Santa
Fe, and 55 miles from Taos. At 7,355 feet altitude, Los Alamosa has a mild, four-season climate. and Taos (As of the 2010 census Taos had a population of 5,716) The elevation of the town is 6,967 Just north of

Two Rivers, Lake Mcmillan and Conchas lake. And covers 2 major Lazer towns Roswell(eleavation 3648) has a Population of 48,611 feet and a dry climate and Carlsbad which has a total population of 55,435.and a eleavation of 3,599.
3 the Colorado plateau has 2 major rivers and they are the San Juan and the Rio San Jose and has one major lake it is the Navajo Res . and covers 2 towns Gallup(a population of 21,678 as of the 2010 census)and is at the elevation of
6470 feet and is 200 mi from Santa Fe .and Farmington( population
45,426) and is 182 mi from ABQ and has a elevator elevation of 5,395 ft .

4 the Great Basin has 4 major Lazer rivers and they are the Gila river the San Frisco the
Rio Salda and the Rio Grande and has 2 lakes they are the Elephant
Butte Res and the Caballo Res. And covers 4 major cites and they are
Deming ,has a altitude of 4300 ft and a population of 14,609 . Las Cruses, has a population of 101,060 .Socorro is at an elevation of 4,579 feet . In
2012 the population was 8,906 and Silver City has a population of
10,273and a elavation of 6,000. They all have pretty dry climates but silver city is the coolest with a average temp of fifty four degrees
