Rock hard abs, massive pecks, and bulging biceps can be considered the ultimate in physical fitness. Everyone is obsessed with having a “perfect” body and will do almost anything, including plastic surgery, to achieve their fitness goals. However, I confused appearance for physical fitness.
At a young age I loved to watch World Wrestling Federation and wondered how I could someday look like an atheletic superstar. But as time went on I never understood the basics of a healthy diet or committed myself to exercising. I was using the original version of Hydroxycut, which contained ephedra. Ephedra is an herb that is now banned from the market due to the harmful side effects and heavy abuse potential. People have actually died from taking too much or for taking it for too long of time periods. But it actually worked. I broke my plateau by working out even harder and pushing myself to the limit. I was going to the gym six days a week. I finally weighed in at about one hundred and ninety pounds. However, I felt terrible. My stomach was extremely painful and randomly I would lose consciousness and blackout. I now had to go to my doctor to see why I felt this way.
