There was a substantial amount of physical evidence found in this particular case. The physical evidence included a 1977 white corvette, blood smears found in the Corvette, hair and clothing from a victim also found in the corvette, carpet fibers, plastic bags found around the victims heads, and sperm. The white corvette was one of the most important parts in the physical evidence due to the fact that, a prostitute had told police that she had seen the Yates’ youngest victim, Jennifer Joseph, in the white corvette nine days before she was found. Jennifer Joseph was a 16 year old prostitute. Authorities ultimately collected a record of all Corvette possessors and another of all Corvettes stopped by police.
