At the push of a button the piercing light from the flash fills the area. The sound of the camera shutter snapping open and closed echo’s with a unique tone. This is experienced, with every photo taken, by a professional photographer. With the ultimate responsibility to capture a series of emotions and meanings into one picture; the job of a photographer is no easy feat. By following three guidelines any person with aspirations as a photographer should be successful. Focusing on your photography skills, creating a solid business foundation, and learning to manage and upkeep your business would make you successful.

With the required equipment in hand, you must get to know your camera. Having to think about where specific camera function are while taking photos will only distract you and potentially cause you to miss photo opportunities. Your camera will come with a manual, read it and become familiar with your camera body. Reading a manual is not in most people’s interest and is extremely boring but I will only benefit you. There and countless techniques and photography tips that will also be beneficial. Doing some research on these will allow you to become more comfortable with the camera in hand, as well as positively affect your photos. As you learn more and take more photos you should notice the quality getting better and better. Unfortunately, I am positive they need work. Post-process editing of your photos is almost always required now, especially since we are now in the digital photography age. A good photo editing software for your computer will allow you to make the adjustments needed to take your photos to the next level. For example, the dark areas may be too dark or you need to
