A lot of people don't think much about the art of photography. They don't consider the different types and styles of photography jobs that field has to offer. At Syracruse University, they offer photography classes as well as being able to major in photography! For example, one unique style of photography is field photography. Field photography has to do with pictures being took of landscapes. Sebastiao Salgado does an excellent job doing so. He manages to capture every detail in each of his subjects. The University of Miami offers classes to specialize in those two types of photography. A photo editor earns $45,069 on an average per year while a cameraman apprentice earns $25,000 per year. Each job requires a two year training that is fairly simple according to a few photography majors. A well-known photo editor is Hendrick Kerstens. He not only takes his photos but edits them too. As a freelance photographer, you get payed $24.87 per hour. Which isn't bad according to photographers who work in that field. Anthony Gelot manages to exceed expectations in freelance photos. Lastly, there is candid photography. Candid photos are captured in motion, without creating a posed appearance. Which is Henri Cartier Bresson's specialty. He uses reflections to create more texture and uses black and white photos to make the photo more interesting. His average salary per year is $71,00. As you can see, there are a .variety of different areas of photography you can study in and a variety of schools that offer photography classes.
