Please accept the enclosed materials as my application for the position of Full-Time Faculty Photography Instructor to begin on August 10, 2015. Teaching printmaking, photography, and foundation courses has afforded me the opportunity to refine my pedagogical skills while I continue to grow as a professional artist. Based on my research, Vincennes University believes in emphasizing craft and concept to mold students into intuitive, intellectual, contemporary artists that are fully prepared to transfer into a four-year program. As a graduate student, I assisted in the oversight and maintenance of the print studio, mentored the undergraduate print organization, and proposed and managed a communal studio print night where undergraduates could come assist me with printing and vice versa. In addition, I mentored international graduate students in the photography darkroom, lighting studio, and digital output studio. Moreover, as an undergraduate, I worked in the photography laboratory where I oversaw and maintained equipment, chemicals, and safety regulations. I have instructed students on core photography, printmaking, and drawing principles and issues. Through independent photography workshops, I armed numerous individuals of various ages within the community with the knowledge and skills to adapt to the ever-evolving digital world. This professional experience not only gives me the capability to teach a myriad of students, but also to understand how to create an integrated curriculum that has continuity from beginning to advanced levels of study. As Vice President of numerous R.S.O.’s, I sought out exhibition spaces and curated/co-curated numerous juried and non-juried exhibitions, which allows me to eagerly await the challenges and opportunities that come from directing a gallery program in addition to the responsibilities as a Vincennes University Instructor of
