The literacy that I want to learn is how to be a photographer. There are many ways to achieve this goal. One of the ways is to get a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera. It is a digital camera that combines the optics and the mechanisms of a single-lens reflex camera with a digital imaging sensor. The best entry level lens for any photographer is an 18-55 mm. First, there are so many pictures and different apps available these days that can change the quality of an image. Also it is not just about the apps you use, but the camera also. DSLR cameras have been around for some time and smartphone cameras cannot compete with them. For example, there is no doubt that a Nikon D3300 is better than any iPhone camera on the market right now. Plus, …show more content…
I want to learn this literacy because it will connect me with people from all around the world and meet awesome photographers along the way. Also, people will probably ask how I take such good photos if I am a photography in the …show more content…
The sponsor I chose is Joshua Lott, a photojournalist. He is a regular contributor to The New York Times, Washington Post, Getty Images. His work has appeared in Time and Newsweek. He has 46.7k followers on Instagram and receives a lot of praise. Joshua takes exceptional, jaw dropping quality photos because of his angles he uses to get the wonderful shots and his ability to edit. The key to editing any good photo is emotionless engagement. When you are looking at your work do not justify or excuse anything. Do not assume the viewer will “get” the fine meaning of your images. Simply ask, does this image express what I am trying to express without explanation? The big trick to be a great photographer is to be open to change. This could change my life because I am thinking about using this as my second job in the near future. The famous saying goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” After I have mastered the editing and photography, I will promote my work through a website and/or social media. I will try to post daily to my supporters or fans of mine. My goal is to have my work on an article for the world to

I reserved three years of birthday and Christmas money and then some to purchase my own DSLR camera. After obtaining my camera, I continued to strive and wondered my through neighborhood and surrounding cities to photograph and capture various environments and mediums. As a child, literacy to me was more of a way to acknowledge words, for writing was the ability to portray them. As I get older, I realize it is not all that simple. I have come to a realization that reading is more about interpreting a language and making it mean something that makes sense for myself. Writing is often the inverse of that, creating a written word or phrase that will mean something and make sense to others. Growing up reading and writing was something I did for enjoyment rather than requirement, but as I get older I find myself having less time for leisure texts, more time for complex, college text, and not enough time to enjoy either one of them.…

In other words, whenever people playing instruments, working in a company, or practicing a second language, they need to combine of acquisition and learning. My goal is visual storytelling for print and digital that is content-driven, clear and easy to navigate. I accomplish this by collaborating and communicating with photo and word editors. This also requires staying up-to-date with daily news and being familiar with our newspaper's content. I often juggle multiple tasks during a design shift. In addition to my design responsibilities, I help make sure design desk schedules are accurate and posted in a timely manner, fix plotter paper jams, resolve digital issues, manage page flow, convert graphics to our style or correct them, provide detailed explanations of workflow issues, create illustrations and provide help to my colleagues when needed.…

Literacy has shaped and evolved my life in many different ways over the course of time. In the begging of my journey I only consumed books and didn 't feel adequate enough to try my hand at writing. As the years went on and I experienced an array of different situations I turned to journaling to help me coop with my life. The informal style of journaling made me feel comfortable to start writing stories and other pieces. This and my love of photography eventually lead me to submit an application to join the yearbook staff at my high school.…
