The Civil War is one of the most important event in all of American History, one of the reasons why we know so much in this war is because of photography. The Civil war was officially one of the first wars to be recorded through Photos. Without the help of photos, historians today wouldn’t know nearly as much about this war, they would only have journals and documentations to help them explore the the past. Many things impacted the Civil War regarding the Photography, it showed historians the horrors of the Civil War, it helped us understand the photographers and how it was done, and it showed people outside the war what was actually going on.
