Many argue that if they live in the county or in a small town, they would not need to provide the ID because most people would know each other. However, people in the city would need to provide the identification because the city is larger and not everyone knows each other. But if one law is enforced in one part of the state, the entire state would need to enforce the law. Therefore, if photo ID laws did not exist, every person in the United States would be able to vote without any form of picture identification. Many people are denied the right to vote simply because someone used their name, or they had the same name. This would be prevented by voter ID laws. However if people wanted to vote more than once, without the ID laws, they would be able to do so. If this were to happen, voting numbers would be skewed because no one would be able to tell what was real and what was false. Voting ballots would be hard to keep up with and there would be no true results; therefore, the photo identification laws would allow those with legal IDs to vote and help regulate voting ballots. The votes have to be accurate in order for the outcome of the vote to be valid. People may be upset their candidate did not win, but the voting ballots would not be to blame.
