The constellation that I have chosen is the Phoenix constellation. The main reason as to why I chose this constellation is because I personally find the Phoenix to be a beautiful creature. Both in its real form and starry form, with it's majestic wings and marvelous colors. The constellation itself is considered to be a minor constellation in the southern sky. The name given to the constellation because of the magical bird, the Phoenix. It was discovered by a French muggle called Johann Bayer, in the 1603 Uranometria.

If they do see a Phoenix it is said that they are blessed with eternal happiness. However if they are able to befriend one, and or keep one by your side. It is said that your life span will be increased significantly! Some people have lived to 1,000 years to just over 10,000 years! The reason as to why the constellation was named after the bird is to preserve the memory and the thought that the majestic birds to in fact exist. Even to this modern time the birds are still alive, however it is rare for anyone to see them. They fly very close to the edge of the atmosphere as to avoid planes and the eyes of observant muggles and wizards. As of now they mostly live in areas that most muggles and wizards can't go to. For instances the top of mountains, since of the extremely low temperatures and thin air. Not many people are able to go there with

My favorite constellation is Scorpius ("The Scorpion") due to the fact that I am a Scorpio (my birthday is November 15th). Scorpius is the southernmost constellation out of all the Zodiac constellations and is near the center of the Milky Way. Also, the red star, Antares, is located where the Scorpion's heart is supposed to be. The star is red because it should be going out soon. The Scorpion's heart may either turn into a black hole (which many describe our hearts to be like) or a new star.…

Constellations are much more than exquisite astronomical images in the sky. They have different meaning in different cultures, tell amazing stories, and allows for the celestial mapping of the heavenly bodies. Let's learn about some of the amazing constellations that can be viewed in various months.…
