The purpose of this essay is to present an observation of the breadth area of Art/Expression. Museums are a great way to reflect with arts and expressions through creativity, imagination and innovation. This is applicable from a global perspective, and will be discussed as a reflection to the recent visits I have had to the Phoenix Art Museum and the Children’s Museum of Phoenix.
Phoenix Art Museum
According to the website, the Phoenix Art Museum is the largest art museum in the southwestern United States (Phoenix Art Museum, 2017). With a bountiful amount of art pieces, that display a multitude of imaginative thoughts and reflections, the Phoenix Art Museum is a great place to express or experience the art/expression breadth area. Once there, one can indulge in the artist’s thoughts and interpretation through their artwork. Understanding the passion and message of an artist may be difficult at times, but by attempting to put ourselves in their position as they were creating their piece, we can reflect upon their creativity and imagination. We also mentioned that it would be a great experience to bring our children back once they are a few years older (as 2 of them were still in strollers and not walking yet), so they would be able to experience the museum when they can emphasize their art/expression breadth area. In being a new parent (our daughter is now 7 months old), other parents are always giving advice of when to take her places, and to see different sites. They often recommend when she is at the age of 5 or more. Then a child can reflect, remember, and recall the experience, and can enjoy it
