They say you use all of your brain. At some points they said like when you are resting and thinking you will only use 10 percent. This falsehood came from William James in his book, The Energies of Men. This myth has also been associated with Albert Einstein in his study of cosmic towering intellect.
The important event is that Phineas Gage survived through a 13 pound, iron rod that went through his cheek and out of the top of his head. The rod landed about 30 yards away from him after it went through his head. He tried to return to work but his personality changed so much that his contractors would not let him back.
When Einstein died they cremated his body but kept the brain for further study. When they examined the neurons to glial cells in his brain they found that it was less …show more content…
The similarities between the two are they both send messages using electrical signals, both transfer information, memory that can grow, develop over time, can be damaged, and brains and computer both get examined by scientists. The difference between the two is that the brain uses chemicals and computers use electricity to transfer information. The memory of the computer can be increased by putting in computer chips, the memories in the brain grow stronger by synaptic connections. It is much easier to fix a computer then the brain. For the computer you can just get some parts but the brain needs serious surgical procedure done on it. Scientists understand how computers operate the brain on the other hand has many more things to be
