Phineas Gage, who got a metal rod blasted through his head was a horrible accident but he contributed to the discoveries of the brains parts and functions therefore Phineas was a lucky man. For example, Phineas Gage’s accident was indeed very terrible. Phineas Gage suffered a frontal lobe injury due to a tamping iron going through his head eventually killing him 11 years later. When Gage was alive he suffered from epilepsy, and infections.He had social problems due to his injury to the part of his brain that deals with social behavior. Also, Gage contributed to medical discoveries. Phineas proved some of the whole brainers and the localizers theories. Phineas Gage helped discover the part of the frontal lobe that has to do with social behavior.
