Philosophy is a theory or attitude held by a person or organization that acts as a guiding principle or behavior that acts as a guiding principle for behavior. I live by many philosophies; some examples are, your word is you 're bond, I am no better than any living thing always stay humble, and very few things are facts most things come down to perspective. My personal philosophy is “nothing ventured nothing gained” and this is my personal philosophy because if you don 't venture you won 't grow as a person, you get to will live life more since it allows you to experience new things and it cuts back regrets you might have for not doing said action.
Nothing ventured nothing gained is very self explanatory, it means that if you do not go out and try different things, go new places, learn new concepts and ideas you will never be able to grow as a person. More specifically if you do not try to expand your horizons you will not grow intellectually. You would not be able to grow intellectually if you were not to venture new things because if you do not care to venture to learn new things or experience new things then you can 't come to learn them if you do not care to open up to learn about them. This actually relates to Hume’s view on perceptions, Hume believes that “All the perceptions of the human mind resolve themselves into two distinct kinds (of perceptions) which I shall call impression and ideas” A Treatise of Human Nature, 18.
