BACKGROUND
The purpose of the report is to find out what Marketing Strategies could improve Philip Mitchell Landscaping Limited? The Business began 28 years ago, as a sole trader and then in 1999 added a separate partnership owned by Philip and Joanna Mitchell. In 2016 they decided that the two businesses should merge to become a single entity and was duly incorporated. The business is based at premises within the Gosford Estate in Aberlady which is also one of the company’s largest clients having contracted to them for over twenty years. The company undertakes both grounds contracts and residential projects within the Edinburgh and Lothians region. Although the company has traded on its excellent reputation

We’ll hopefully be finding out what the customers think about the business and what they like about them and what they’d like to see improved within the business.
The second source of research I used was browsing throughout the internet to see what information it had which would likely be on business reviewing sites, social media accounts and websites which would be Desk Research. Desk Research can be good when you need the information quickly and cheaply but it can be untrustworthy as it could be false or exaggerated by other sources.
The third source of research I used was an interview with the owner where I hope to find out what he’s hoping for the business in the future whether that is the improvements or new opportunities to the business.
ANALYSIS
I questioned the public on their opinion about the businesses quality and 94% replied praising the business for the work they done which can improve the businesses reputation with other customers as they’ll be known for their quality of work they offer to their

While speaking to the owner, I asked him if Philip Mitchell Landscaping Limited cared for the environment and he talked about how he keeping the business environmentally friendly although it’s hard considering the tasks he’s doing, but compared to his competitors it’s very good which can be great for his reputation.

As I was interviewing the customers I asked how they felt about the company uniform, and they spoke about how they liked the uniform and it made them feel more comfortable seeing as it’s not people turning up in regular clothing. While speaking to the owner he said it’s essential for the workers as it’s in their contracts and it improves the company image.

While speaking to Phil about what he’s expecting for the future when he has too retire, he talked about how he’s been training his son off and on the job to take over the business, keeping the business in the family could keep familiarity with the customers while maintaining high quality
