INITIAL THOUGHTS:
A deck is shuffled by several audience members, then handed back to the magician whereupon he sticks all the cards down the front of his pants. After a bunch of pelvic thrusts, Elvis style gyrations, and a handful of moves like Jagger, the magician stops and stands in place.

While smiling, he announces that without the aid of his hands, he has successfully separated the entire deck, reds from blacks. To prove it, the magician begins shaking his right pant leg. All the black cards fall out onto the ground. He follows by doing the same with the left pant leg, and all the reds fall out.

The once shuffled cards have now been separated. A true miracle of epic proportion!

Half of the audience wonders how that’s even possible, while the other half wants to buy the magician a drink and get to

This also works with boxer briefs. You also need a deck of double facers as well as a regular deck of cards.

Directly before your show, while wearing your favorite tight underwear (superman underoos are my fav), place 26 double-faced red cards in the cuff of the left leg, so they peek out of the left side. Do the same with the 26 double-faced black cards, on the right side.

The stretch material in the briefs keeps the double faced cards secure against your leg and from falling down your pants, until you want them to fall. Furthermore, using double facers guarantees all the cards are visible when they are shook loose from the pant legs.

You don’t want to walk around too much after you load the packets in your underwear, so plan accordingly.

When you’re ready to perform, have your regular deck shuffled by the audience. Retrieve the pack, open the front of your pants, and drop the shuffled pack in.

However, while opening your pants, stretch the underwear enough to let the double facers come loose and fall through the leg holes. That way, they begin to fall down your respective pant

It is fitting to begin a study on how modern English speakers describe aspect in Ancient Greek by exploring how the ancient Greeks described this concept themselves. In the Platonic dialogue The Sophist, the verb is defined as “the word indicating action,” or simply the action word. Aristotle defines the verb as “a sound compounded with meaning and indicative of time”. A verb, according to the Greeks, describes action, from which we can deduce further that it has a subject, and it indicates time.…

Items that are contradictory tend to confuse and aggravate society. In a world where everyone and everything has a specific purpose, place, and stereotype, most people do not want to accept contradictory ideas that upset the status quo and balance of life. These situations simply make people uncomfortable. Richard Dyer touches on this uncomfortableness in “Don’t Look Now: The Male Pin-up.” In this essay, Dyer focuses on how male pin-ups tend to create contradictory feelings towards society’s norms of pleasure and desire.…

In Dante’s Inferno, Dante Alighieri writes himself as a traveler who is traversing through the realm of the underworld with the Roman poet Vergil as his guide. In documenting his journey, Dante continually references and encounters both fictional characters and historic figures from the Greek, Roman and Catholic canon. In doing so, he brings the characters and figures back to life, allowing him to rewrite them in his own context and perspective. By reviving these characters and melding the philosophy and canon of Catholicism with the stories of Greek and Roman mythology, he is able to assess and reimagine the Greek and Roman characters through his Catholic lens. Through including the famous writers and poets themselves, particularly including Vergil as his guide, Dante tries to legitimize his reinvention of the existing canon.…

It’s the way that the word gets out; billions upon billions of ideas for business, classroom activities, etc. are spread through presentations. With presentations come some jitters, but Andrew Bradbury states a plan in his book “Successful Presentation Skills (2010)” that winds up to be the first key element to a successful presentation. Having a game plan before stepping on stage in front of an audience sounds like common knowledge, but it’s more than just a game plan. Bradbury (2010) lists a Seven Basic Step to take on any idea. First, the presenter must think about what they want to achieve by presenting, then reflect on if a formal presentation is the best way to get the word out, leading to what form the presentation will take, then the…

Typically the nerves hit me while I wait in the wing of the stage for my name to be called, but this time it began the moment I woke up in the morning. I remember having to wake up at about six in the morning in order to have time to get ready and be at the convention center in Wichita when the doors opened at 7:30 a.m.…

Choosing a backpack for your camping adventure is a very important one. It's not "just a bag" that so many inexperienced campers say. Though it seems such a small matter, your backpack can benefit you in ways that you could never imagine, especially when you are out there trekking or camping and all you have is an ill-fitting backpack. Still skeptical? In 1994, a hiker who went on a trip to the Appalachians had to have his trip cut short and had to go home broken and bleeding because of an ill-fitting backpack that damaged his hips.…
