The Philadelphia theatre company which is located in Philadelphia, PA was founded in 1974 by Robert Hedley and Jean Harrison.It is said that the theatre has produced over hundreds of world premieres and has hosted dozens of world recognized artists. But in October of 2007 the Philadelphia Theatre company has partnered with a new brand known as Suzanne Roberts Theatre. The PTC made a start decision to combined their company with the Suzanne Roberts Theatre. The Theatre was known for it's contemporary American play writes. The company was the first performing company in Philly and gave opportunities for young new artist to come be apart of the new hot thing in the city.

PRODUCTION
Between September through June production interns get exposure to a number of areas which may include production administration, casting, company management, stage management, and design. For an internship tailored to a specific area of production such as lighting design or stage management, interns must be available at least forty hours a week for 4 to 6 weeks. Otherwise, time commitment varies depending on the nature of the internship. Appropriate candidates should have some production experience at the college/university level or community theater.
