Phil Robertson was very poor and grew and made everything they ate and drank. He was named after his Grandmother’s first cousin, Phil Shores, who died in World War ll. His middle name was after his great grandfather, Lemuel Alexander Shores. Phil was always hanging out with his family and friends. He was also very obedient to his parents, family members, and friends.
Their faith in God and love for each other is what separates the Robertson family from other families. The Robertson family is very Christian and respectful to others. The ninth commandment states in Exodus 20:16 “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.” This means speaking falsely in any matter, lying, equivocating, and any way devising and designing to deceive our neighbor. Alan was an only child at that time and it was very hard for him to see his father that way. When he was only seven years old, he had to take care of his younger siblings by himself. When he graduated high school, he started to hang out with the wrong people and got into trouble. He was kicked out of the house and went to live with Phil’s sister, Judy, in New Orleans. He started dating a woman after living for about two years in New Orleans. She lied to him and told him that she was divorced when she was only separated from her husband. The husband followed Alan home from work one day and beat him up very badly, using an iron tire tool.
