1. If I really believed in the program and wanted to see a change I do think I would become involved in the situation. I think that it can sometimes be a bit tricky when it comes to wanting to help but not knowing exactly how. You don’t know what your limits are or if what you’re doing is actually helping. I’m not really sure to what extent I would involve myself. I don’t think I would be the leader or throw myself in full force. I would offer my help and give advice on what I know but stay on the sidelines and observe what was happening. If I saw that the idea had potential I think I would become more open to including myself more in the progress of the program. The factor that would hold me back a bit would be not wanting to let the women and their families down. I wouldn’t want to be apart of a new program that gave women hope and then see it fail. I think that they should take an approach that involve utilizing those people in the different networks they have access to. They need to gather some type of funds may that be through fundraising or receiving a grant. Maybe the people in the networks could help them and give them the guidance that they

Decisions for Year 3 were more challenging, I think this is so because I now have a total understanding of the simulation. For instance, some internal influence may be that the agency is facing economic woes, whether it is inadequate budgeting or reduction in clients, and will need to reevaluate its budget or operations. Alternatively, if the agency’s budget is exceeding expectations then the agency may have new opportunities to provide more services to a specific population or to multiple populations. The new services could be providing co-occurring mental health treatment or providing distinct mental health and substance abuse treatment. Also, there may be a high…

I would be an asset in the program because I love interacting with people and learning new ways to improve their lives. I quickly discovered my passion for children and this field through the past two years of work experience at the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home (LBCH). I am fortunate enough to be the recreation leader, lifeguard, and math tutor of a diverse group of kids with heart-wrenching upbringings, circumstances, and for some, communication setbacks. My inner longing to provide more assistance to them communication-wise grows daily. The knowledge I am obtaining at ULM, the child-interaction skills I am gaining through the LBCH, and the God-given love and compassion for people all contribute and work simultaneously towards thriving…
