They say there is always that one person who acts a certain way if you don’t know that person, you are that person. This situation applies to me because honestly I am the Jenny in the situation. I do not mean to act standoffish or come off as cold however I suffer from anxiety. At social settings I tend to stick with people I know and even with my own friends I observe rather than talk. However, when I am with my best friends, or my significant other I thrive and become one of the most confident person. My job requires me to break out my comfort zone where I must interact with students daily at Lehman College. Honestly I tend to make a script in my head and repeat it so when I talk to students I do not trip on y words. My coworkers have noticed my actions and try to include me in conversation. At a workplace no matter how you feel or personal opinions, it’s a place where you must work with a team to advance. So if an employee inclines to speak, interact or comprise it can strain both the employee and potential networking advances. We currently live in a world where an important aspect of advancing in life is knowing people and create bridges and networks. If we lose that human relation, then we are dooming oneself to prosper and human qualities. Another advantage about learning human relation skills is learning about oneself.
