Ways to reduce food waste
• Shop smart.
Think before you shop, buy only what you need. Make grocery list and buy only those things on your list.
• Be realistic.
Buy only what you realistically need and will use, don’t buy more than you can eat.
• Don’t toss food before it spoils.
When in doubt, use your eyes and your nose; if a food looks spoiled or smells off, breathe a sigh of sadness , then it’s time to toss.
