In certain cases dependant on a client’s goals a Personal Trainer or Gym Instructor will prepare an exercise program or exercise plan that goes through different phases. These phases are designed so the client can reach their goals by training smarter.
A phased approach is most commonly used to train a client for a sport in their pre-season or for an athlete before their chosen event, i.e. a marathon.

Conditioning
Recovery
Adaption
