Principles of Professional Code of Ethics is for all the members of the Ontario College of Pharmacists. Ethics can be describe in many definitions such as a set of principles that assist any professional member with own conduct, usually involving making decisions, seeking to find a morally desirable action, and especially being concerned with right and wrong choices. The society gave trust to all members of the Ontario College of Pharmacist in return members must have moral obligations. He ask for how long he have to wait in order to pick up his medications. I told him it might be after twenty minutes to finish his prescriptions. The pharmacy gets busier and sometimes you cannot handle the workload in the pharmacy especially if this location is one of the busiest pharmacy stores in the Toronto. When he went to the cashier area he was so upset of not looking and taking care of him mostly when he is waiting for so long. I looked through the outbox shelves and he’s prescription is ready for him to pick up. I told him that I am very sorry about this situation. He is still upset when he left the pharmacy but my point is in the end it is all about the principle two, the principle of beneficence. As a pharmacy technician student I have a moral obligation to act and decide what works the best interest and doing good for my patient and other people that needs my responsibility or authority or liability with my own involvement about a task. I should always look in the surroundings so that I know if there is patient waiting inside the pharmacy. I must prioritize those patient whobis waiting before doing minor responsibilities in the pharmacy. Also, when working in the pharmacy, I should be well organize most important in all workloads and timeline. Sometimes some patient is not comfortable of sharing information to any staffs in the pharmacy. They are not willing to give information that will help fill their prescriptions. In order to get information needed, the staffs explain the importance of the information needed. The staffs working what was the best interest and what was good for the patient.
