My goal is to become a pharmacy technician. According to Wikipedia, "A pharmacy technician performs pharmacy-related functions." The training, certification, licensing, and practice of pharmacy technicians varies not only worldwide but also within countries, regions, and by employers. Pharmacy technicians have one of the highest-paid jobs in the healthcare field. Salary.com reported that pharmacy technicians earn around $50,000 annually, while Indeed.com reported they earn between $14 and $24 per hour. To become a pharmacy technician, I have to focus on math, as it is essential for this job. Pharmacy technicians are sometimes involved in compounding. Compounding is the process of combining the ingredients together to create a dose of a custom-made medication. In middle school, I wasn't very good at math, and I thought I couldn't become a pharmacy technician. In 7th grade, I became great at math, and I went from barely passing my math test to almost getting a 100 on the state test. In high school, I took medical classes since freshman year, and I took 8 medical classes in all 4 years of high school. The most important medical classes for me are Pharmacy 1, Pharmacy 2, and Pharmacology. As of right now, I am taking four medical classes this year. I am learning a lot of new things from my teachers, Mr. Avalos, Mr. Alonzo, Ms. Gonzales, and Mrs. Alvarez. I have experienced a lot in this field when I am in Mrs. Alvarez's classes, since she is a certified pharmacy technician. My teacher, Mrs. Alvarez, has me in a pharmacology class, so I can prepare myself for a certification exam to become a certified pharmacy
