Harry S. Truman once said, “America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand.” Ever since I was young (about ages three and four) I relied on my courage, determination and imagination to overcome difficulties in a world of psychoactive medications. Specifically they were for ADD and ADHD. The meds ended up being prescribed to me until my eighth grade year, and after that they were substituted for mood stabilizing, anti-depressants, and anti-anxiety medications. The reason why I chose the career of a pharmacy technician is because with this job I can tell people exactly how and when to take their medications.
