I did not expect some of my strengths, but after reading them through thoroughly; I quickly realized the strengths genuinely are appropriate when relating to my personality. The two strengths that I believe will benefit me prominently, are restorative and discipline. Restorative basically means someone who loves solving problems (Gallop, 2017). This information regarding restorative people is reassuring since I plan on becoming a pharmacist, which is closely related to solving problems in the medical field specifically. In the pharmacy lecture, Steve explained how pharmacists must have problem-solving skills and analytical thinking (McDonald, 2017). Having a restorative perspective has helped me in clubs that I have joined, such as the MU Pre-Pharmacy Club and Mizzou Public Health Club. In both of these clubs, I use restorative skills when we plan our service events and health-related educational events. We brainstorm whatever the prevalent issues are in the community and deliberate ways we could potentially solve the problem, or at least help give back to a certain cause. The insights of restorative skills include, “diligently working on examining what needs to be modified” (Gallop, 2017). Ever since I was young, I have always been intrigued by the role of medication in curing or alleviating symptoms of pain in a relatively short amount of time. My fascination began slowly after I noticed that whenever members of my family were feeling unwell, they would usually ingest a pill to relieve them of their ailment. At that time, all I knew about these capsules were that they were not meant for kids and that they could not be taken as a daily supplement. Thus, I found myself wondering why people only took pills when they were feeling poorly and not when they were feeling under a normal state. After being unable to answer my own question, I turned to my mother to provide me with an explanation about how taking a certain kind of drug could help cure instances of discomfort.…
