Indeed, these are some current new challenges which United States is facing today and brings out a matter of concern to public-health professionals in displaying the disparity that exist in our society. The amount of mortality data generated due to various kinds of diseases generated by CDC is appalling. Billions of dollars are been spent on preventative medicine every year to cure our increasing middle class and aging population. Plus, emerging pathogens adds up the challenge of discovering new drugs, scientific findings to ongoing research findings. In this situation, I always sit back and ask myself, what can I do personally to help my community in fighting these diseases? Pharmacist take wide variety of responsibility, right from counselling patients prescription medications to promoting healthy lifestyle in community. Pharmacist can also help in explaining patients the ever changing health-care reforms and suggest patients in selecting the best insurance plan (including Medicare and Medicaid) that works well for patients reimbursement.
I immigrated to United States along with my 2 siblings and single mother (deceased) from India in 2007. Our purpose of immigration to U.S was to gain better education and have better living standards. My family has given education the top most priority and have never used our hardships and struggle as an excuse to not gain quality education. My mother meet many hardships and challenges in our upbringing and has always supported our education and helped me in my career in becoming a
