1. Kendall Jones Raleigh: Quality Testing and Release Manager
As the Quality Testing and Release Manager for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals in Raleigh, Kendall Jones has many functions and responsibilities. Not only must he oversee the day to day running of the QC Laboratory and the Product Release Groups. A QC Laboratory, is where the reaction quotient of a scientific process is calculated and measured. With nearly twenty different researchers, supervisors, and engineers underneath him, Jones must always be organized and prepared.
Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals has been in business for over a century, providing bio-pharmaceutical research, development, and testing for the world. The company has created many different generic and brand name medications,

From 2007 to 2014 he was a Product Release Manager for the global drug research corporation. As a Product Release Manager, he was responsible for auditing batch records, signing certificates of analysis, and reviewing the lab data. Without this work, it would not have been possible for the company to release new bio-pharmaceuticals onto the market.
Other tasks he accomplished in this time included providing quality systems input, allowing the company to meet and exceed expectations. Overseeing two QA Technicians, Kendall Jones was able to train and prepare for his future post as the Quality Testing and Release Manager. One of their responsibilities at the time also involved the creation of accurate product labels for the bio-pharmaceuticals that were developed by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals.
Not only was Kendall Jones providing excellent leadership behind the scenes, he was also directly involved with the public, handling all customer questionnaires and inquiries that were sent to the company. He would hold customer audits, giving him the opportunity to respond to the client 's inquiries and observations. Through his work as a Product Release Manager, Raleigh native Kendall Jones has taken his success with Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals one step further up the ladder.

This set of techniques, originally developed in the 1980 's by a professional at Motorola, have grown to become a well sought set of principles and teachings for anyone who wishes to become an expert n their field of study.
The Six Sigma standards improve the output of a process, whether that process is electrical engineering, automotive manufacturing, or scientific laboratory testing. The Six Sigma standards are also used in business, as a leadership model for success. Through applying the Six Sigma principles, a company or manufacturer is able to narrow down, pinpoint, and remove deficiencies in the creation process. This results in a product that is more efficient and safe for those who work with it or purchase it in the long run.
By streamlining the methods used to create a product, there can be better quality control over the product 's outcome. In essence, Six Sigma seeks to build a standard operating procedure for each manufacturing venture it is applied to. Doing so removes the variables that can creep up and hinder the quality of a manufactured item. Kendall Jones in Raleigh uses his Six Sigma Certification in all of his work with Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals.
