A virus is a small infectious agent. There are different types of viruses. Viruses are all over the world and can be caused by many things and substances. Viruses are nonliving, it contains genetic information, has to survive (DNA/RNA) in a host, and can multiply from 1 virus to 1,000. Viruses have 3 components. Capsid surrounds DNA, Tail sheath-connected to capsid, and tail-fibers-connected to the sheath. The virus DNA travels down the tail sheath through the membrane. The virus tricks the cell then controls the cell's DNA. The virus will multiply and travel to other cells. The cell can become damaged or die.
